Protection of Personal Information (Privacy Policy)

AliceBooks Inc. recognizes the importance of our customers' personal information and does its absolute best to protect it from third parties.
The following demonstrates just how serious we take this matter.

This policy is a service provided by Alice Books.

The following is a list of the different kinds of information we protect.

• The acquisition of personal information is covered in the "What we handle" section of this page.
• Only under special circumstances do we record telephone calls with customers.
• This has partly been covered in the "What we handle" section. When you use Alice Books, there may be cookies saved on your computer,
  but after a transaction with Alice Books has been completed, your information is immediately wiped from our system.

• This is partly covered in the "What we handle" section. There will be times when Alice Books will use customer information for the sole purpose of business information/statistics.
• 2. When Alice Books does use customer information for the purpose of business information/statistics, we will use specific information,
  as well as JIS Q 15001:2006 (a special information examination standard) to ensure sensitive information is kept safe.

Whatever personal information Alice Books has, we do our absolute best to keep it safe and out of the hands of third parties.

• 1. Alice Books will never share any of your personal information with third parties, except under the following circumstances.

2: If the police and/or other high ranking authorities ask for your information.
3: If companies we do business with ask for your information.

• Alice Books is not responsible if and when a third party sees your personal information
  on your computer screen when you are accessing our site.
• AliceBooks Inc. promises the customer that once he/she has entrusted it with personal information,
  it will do its absolute best to keep said information secure and away from third parties.

• AliceBooks Inc. forbids its employees from taking customers' personal information out of the workplace.
• 2. For the purposes or work related business, personal information (paper, digital, and any other possible form) that is taken outside the workplace is done solely by authorized personal who are required to sign an agreement which forbids them from sharing the information.

• Once the customer and Alice Books have parted ways, Alice Books destroys all records containing the customer's personal information.
• Alice Books destroys all paper documents, digital media, telephone recordings, and any other record that may contain the customer's personal information.

In the event that personal information is lost, Alice Books will contact the customer as well as the authorities immediately.
We will deal with the situation to the best of our ability.

In order to keep the customer's information safe at all times, when first joining our company, all employees are given extensive training in information security.
We also give annual information security training sessions to all employees (part-time, commission, and full-time employees, as well as high ranking management and executives).

If and when changes are made to the privacy policy, the customer, as well as AliceBooks Inc. and Alice Books, are required to abide the latest version.
